Star Wars episode IX director Colin Trevorrow wants to film the movie in space and the idea's not too far fetched.

According to sigmalive.com, filming's already been done in space thanks to IMAX technology:

"Shooting in space has been done before, notably in Hubble 3D, the Warner Bros documentary that used IMAX 3D gear to follow seven astronauts on their mission to fix the Hubble Space Telescope.

Think of the wads of cash that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is bringing in. Now, add to that, the buttload of money that chapter 8 will surely make and the oodles of dollars Disney generates with merchandise and other stuff.

By the time Trevorrow starts on 9, they'll not only be able to get him into space, they'll probably buy him a real Death Star and a working Millenium Falcon! Number 9 is set for a 2019 release.
