Jon Stewart and "The Daily Show" team took on the controversial Washington Redskins name and logo issue. Their investigation was just as awkward as you would think.

Some of the participants in Stewart and Jason Jones pre-packed segment took to The Washington Post, to express how they felt the comedians "mislead and exploited" them, by never telling them about the prearranged confrontation between them and Native Americans.

For fans who don't see the Redskins name and logo as a problem, they sure had a problem with coming face-to-face with the people the name offends.

Stewart did address the issue of those fans upset with the show's investigation, right before he aired the segment by stating, "If we find out that someone in a piece was intentionally misled, or if their comments were intentionally misrepresented, we do not air that piece."

Of course, he aired the segment and let the video be his best defense.
