A Texas school has banned parents from walking to the school to pick up their children. Some have even been threatened with fines for trespassing.

Parents at Bear Branch Elementary School in Humble, Texas outside of Houston are upset after the school banned parents from coming on campus to pick up students. The school implemented the rule to keep parents that live close to the school from walking on the campus.

Parents have now started taking their children out of the school because of the rule. The principal, Holly Ray, has implemented the new rule keeping parents from stepping foot on the campus. No matter how close the students lives to the school, students must take the bus or parents must wait in a long car pickup line.

Parents have said that the principal has already threatened to arrest some parents who don't abide by the rule. County Constables are now at the school enforcing the rule. The Magnolia Independent School District has said that they fully support Principal Ray's policy, saying that the purpose is for a "safe dismissal process."

Parents have stated they believe the previous system was safe and worked for both parents and the school. They also believe that she is overstepping her boundaries with students and the school. Parents have said that until the policy is changed, they will be taking their children out of the school.
