A video posted to the Midland Police Department Facebook page is making its way around the internet once again. It was first posted last year, but it still has the attention of many people around the world.

The cops were ordered by court to detonate over 20,000 pounds of confiscated fireworks. Law enforcement agencies from around West Texas took part in the operation. It took about 48 seconds to detonate all the fireworks

A lot of people online suggested the Midland Police Department should have done the controlled detonation at night. The department's public information officer quickly ruined everyone's dreams by telling them it's not supposed to be a fireworks show.
