A shooting at a San Antonio mall was a robbery gone bad that left a good samaritan dead after attempting to stop the robbers. One robber was shot by another good samaritan.

One Good Samaritan is dead after attempting to stop a robbery in process at a San Antonio mall. Two gunmen attempted to rob the Kay Jewelers store inside the Rolling Oaks Mall Sunday in San Antonio.

One unarmed Good Samaritan attempted to stop the robbers and was shot and killed. Witnesses say the man was in his 30s. Another Good Samaritan who had a licensed concealed weapon then took out his firearm and proceeded to shoot at one of the suspects. That suspect was struck, while the second robber opened fire as he fled the scene. Six innocent bystanders were hit by the shots and were taken to the hospital. The suspect who killed the Good Samaritan is in the hospital in critical condition.

According to KSAT, San Antonio police Chief William McManus said "what we have here is a robbery gone really, really bad" and that the shooting was "absolutely senseless." The second suspect was arrested early Sunday evening and more information will be released later.
