It was first announced back in 2014 that there was going to be a movie based on the highly addictive 80's game Tetris. And I honestly had to look up another source to make sure it was true. But apparently it is.

If you thought the fact they were making a movie based on Tetris was strange. Buckle up, because it's not just going to be one move. And no, not two. They are turning Tetris into a trilogy.

Producer Larry Kasanoff says, "This isn't us splitting the last one of our eight movies in two to wring blood out of the stone. It's just a big story."

Now you might be wondering what in the world they could do for three movies about a game that was as simple as fitting different shaped blocks together, to get them to disappear when you made a complete horizonal line. Well according to Kasanoff, "We want the story to be a surprise, but it's a big science fiction movie. I came up with the idea as I was thinking about Tetris and the theme of creating order out of chaos." He also says to not worry, there won't be "blocks with feet running around the movie."

At this point, I don't know what to think about this movie. Maybe the unknown and having low expectations is a good thing. Guess we'll find out eventually because they're moving forward with it.
