Taylor Gammel, 19, wandered out of her house, sound asleep, and walked about nine miles before waking. She was missing for three hours and police even brought in bloodhounds to track her down.

Taylor awoke during her walk and said it took her a minute to realize that she wasn't dreaming about walking, she actually was walking. Wearing only pajamas and socks, the walk was hard on her.

"Yeah, [my feet] hurt rally bad after a while. My legs, too," she said. "There are so many things that could have gone wrong or happened. I'm really lucky."

Taylor has a history of sleepwalking and even has a special alarm on her bedroom door that goes off every time it's opened.

The American Academy of Nuerology says about 4% of people reported sleep walking within the past year. If you've been affected by sleepwalking, or any other sleep disorders, contact the El Paso Sleep Center for help!
