Taste of El Paso Preview- Geske’s Fire Grill

It’s going to be a great two nights of food, fun, and friends! Join us for Taste of El Paso on November 14th and 15th at the El Paso Convention Center! This was one of the situations where I LOVE my job! I get to go to a restaurant and try out their food for free! All in the name of Taste of El Paso!

After a long day at work, I was ready to go and try Geske's Fire Grill over on the Eastside. They are located at 1506 North Lee Trevino. When I first walked into Geske's, what striked me was the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Classy and relaxing all at the same time. The booths were spacious and the entire staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of their menu.

The first item I was given to try was their Margarita fries. They're shoe string fries with margarita salt and their signature Tabasco ketchup for dipping. The ketchup really does compliment the salt used on the fries well. Plus, the serving size was perfect for sharing with a group of people.

After that I tried the Ceviche they serve there. The portion sizes were generous and I had plenty of leftovers to take home with me! The meal was light and tasted so fresh like the shrimp came right out of the ocean! The cilantro in the dish gave the perfect finishing touch to it. Plus, it was served with a generous portion of tortilla chips and fresh avocado right on top!

The last thing I tried was the green chile and potato soup. Since I have moved to El Paso I have grown to have a huge obsession with green chile soup and this was by far my favorite! It was so creamy and thick with cheese inside of the soup which I adored. I will coming back to get more of that soup. They make it on Wednesdays so that is where you can catch me any Wednesday now!

After that I got to try some of the great beers they have on tap there. Plus, if you have never tried a beer flight before you are missing out! I had this great Eggnog beverage that was absolutely delicious. I don't even like Eggnog personally but the creamy flavor made me an instant fan!
