Cattle Decapitation's drummer David McGraw is on tour with the band right now, and when they hit Berlin yesterday, he decided to forgo the usual touristy things like sight-seeing. He didn't even feel like just sleeping in or reading a book on cow revolution or the cow subjugation of the human race.

Instead, he went to a German hospital and had a "gnarly abscess" removed from his armpit! Yay, fun! Then, he did what anyone would do right after surgery. He went and played his full on death metal show.

Jacoby Shaddix had a pretty bad time earlier this year, when he had to have nodes removed from his vocal cords, which led to Papa Roach having to pull out of the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival. The band noticed something was wrong while in the studio, and everyone got really nervous when he wasn't able to perform like he normally could.

Guitar legend Leslie West, whose work with the band Mountain has been part of rock history since their unforgettable performance at Woodstock, is recovering after doctors were forced to amputate part of one leg over the weekend.

West, who was in Mississippi for a Mountain performance, was rushed to a Biloxi emergency room after noticing swelling in his leg — a condition made more serious by West’s 30-year struggle with diabetes. In order to save his life, doctors removed his leg up to the knee.
