At first glance, an acoustic day at Balloonfest 2013 seems kind of weird. But the more you think about it, the better the idea gets! It's something we haven't done since Zakk Wylde came down and performed songs from his then new album Book of Shadows. (Anyone else remember that?) Filming is about to get underway on the upcoming movie 'Army of the Damned' with Godsmack's Sully Erna playing one of the lead roles. In the film, he's a police sheriff named Bridge who uncovers more than he bargained for when answering a domestic disturbance call. Erna, making his feature film debut, has been taking part in rehearsals and some of the first photos from the film with the singer in his role have surfaced online. They can be seen below.

During the Aug. 31 date in Pittsburgh, Pa., a shirtless fan jumped onstage during Godsmack's set, and after running around a bit, placed a hat atop the head of frontman Sully Erna. Multiple security guards tackled the fan with the intensity of an NFL linebacker, which prompted Erna to stop midway through a song and give the guards a piece of his mind.
