I'm a sucker for gear videos.  I love to see what the bands are using to get the sounds they want for the studio, the tour, whatever.  I guess it feeds into my GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) that I suffer from. Stone Sour has really good tone on their albums and on the road, and if you want to know how they get them, this is the video for you...and me, for sure.  Enjoy!

According to a recent police report filed in Wes Des Moines, Iowa, the home of Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor was recently robbed by a "friend" of the couple while they were out of town. The Taylors had in excess of $36,600 in musical equipment taken from their property.

The Golden Gods is quickly becoming the coolest show around, considering it's the only awards show that actually honors metal music (screw the Grammys). Stone Sour / Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor will be the latest rocker to take part in the popular Reddit AMA Session series, fielding questions from fans about Stone Sour's new albums, the 'House of Gold & Bones' comics and whatever questions might pop up.

Corey Taylor may be a well-established name in the rock world, but there's an awful lot of competition for attention this coming week at Austin's South by Southwest music conference. As such, Taylor is turning to the Stone Sour street team for support during the major music week.

I'm a little bummed that Stone Sour and Papa Roach didn't make it to El Paso on this tour, but I found this online to help ease the bum-ness. It's the complete show from Club Nokia in LA, Feburary 13th. It's a pro-shot concert, so no crappy shaky-cam from some dude who's only four feet tall, trying in vain to see the band over the shoulders of everyone else in front of him.

Stone Sour showcased their upcoming 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' disc by performing the new single 'Do Me a Favor' live for the first time at a concert in Tucson, Ariz., this week.

Stone Sour are enjoying some of their greatest success to date with the two-part album 'House of Gold & Bones,' and drummer Roy Mayorga is very happy to be part of it. Back in 2011, Mayorga suffered a stroke and there was concern about whether or not he would be able to continue, but the musician is happy to report he's recovered.

Stone Sour‘s album ‘House of Gold & Bones Part 1' will be released next week, and the band's guitarist Josh Rand spoke with Roadrunner Records about it.
