Nikki Sixx is a man of many passions, as evidenced by his career as a successful author, photographer and radio host as well as the musical work he's best known for as a member of Motley Crue and Sixx: A.M. On Saturday (Jan. 26), Sixx was able to reveal his latest creative venture, the new 'Schecter Sixx' signature series bass, during the NAMM convention in Anaheim, California.

The fourth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards are set to invade Los Angeles on April 11, with Marilyn Manson on deck to perform his first show in almost three years at the event. Other performers include Slash, Evanescence, Sixx: A.M. and Black Veil Brides. Further additions to the line up will be announced in the coming weeks.

The digital age is certainly narrowing the gap between artists and their fans, as well as creating ways for people to communicate their emotions to the world. Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx was moved by one such display and reached out to a little girl because of it. 12-year-old Chloe McCarty of Blaine, Minn., used his band Sixx: A.M.‘s song ‘Skin’ in a video where she revealed she has a mental disorder called trichotillomania, which causes her to pull out her hair, and as a result, be bullied by her classmates. A simple, expressive video garnered national attention for McCarty, her disorder and the need to be sensitive to others suffering from such conditions.
