On my first official trek to bring you El Paso's Best Local Rock, I stopped in to Bombardier's on the west side to see A Beautiful Mourning, The Ivory Structure and Rogue Planet. Unfortunately, Rogue Planet had to cancel their performance, but instead I was treated to two young guys guys playing acoustic guitars and calling themselves The Wreck.
I posted the other day that I was going to start hitting up more bands regularly and writing features on them here at KLAQ.com. Tonight is my first night out for official feature writing for bands, and there are a lot of choices of where to go:
I grew up with all kinds of music growing up, from hip-hop, rap, metal, alternative and yes....good 'ol Mexican music!
Beginning this Friday, I want to begin hitting up more shows. But more than just checking out some bands I know of, I want to discover some of the bands playing that I may not know, get some pics, shoot some video and tell everyone else about them, too!
