Nikki Sixx has gone on record to say that Motley Crue‘s residency in Las Vegas, which will launch in February and run for three weeks, is only scratching the surface of what he believes “will be the biggest probably four to five years of the band’s career.”
Things are thrilling in the Motley Crue camp, as the band gears up for the first-ever rock band residency in Las Vegas. However, despite all the hoopla and history making coinciding with the Feb. 3-19 stay in Sin City, singer Vince Neil said he is considering splitting from the band after the Vegas shows wrap.
In what seems like a marriage made in rock ‘n’ roll heaven, last night Motley Crue announced their upcoming residency at the Joint at Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas for 12 shows, Feb. 3-19, 2012.
Motley Crue is dropping by the ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ show on CNN on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 9PM ET to announce some big news, and leading up to that, they are dropping daily clues for fans to keep them guessing.
Vince Neil has agreed to a deal which will have the Motley Crue singer plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and pay a $1,000 fine related to an alleged domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend, former Las Vegas television entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs. In return, county prosecutors in Las Vegas will drop one more serious count of domestic battery Neil was facing.
Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx found himself screaming for his own ‘Dr. Feelgood’ after hurting himself onstage during their summer tour. With lingering joint problems from the injury he underwent knee surgery on Wednesday (Oct. 19).
Through the years, Motley Crue has spent a lot of time rocking Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, Calif., with the legendary Whisky A Go-Go club among its many haunts.
So if any band deserves to be honored at the 2011 Sunset Strip Music Festival, it’s the Crue. The tribute, set for Aug. 18, is going to involve real whiskey: special-edition bottles of Jack Daniel’s, with proceeds going to a charity that’s very dear to one Crue member.
After all these years of being photographed (and even publishing books featuring his own photography) you would think Nikki would be cool with it ... right??

According to TMZ, Ron Toma (who owns the copyright to the belt buckle photo used on "Too Fast For Love") is suing Motley Crue and Live Nation. The band is selling hoodies with the artwork on them on their website, and he claims, "they can't do that"!
