James Hetfield of Metallica is a huge sports fan, and whenever he gets a chance to do something cool like this, or the tailgate gig for the Raiders a few years ago, he jumps at it! Tonight, the Dodgers are in San Francisco, and James and Kirk did a cool harmony version of our national anthem before the game. Check it out!

After Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently called Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine a ‘big mouth’ for publicly stating that he’d like to form a Metallica / Megadeth supergroup, Mustaine has now apologized to Hetfield, promising that he’ll never speak of the subject again.

Megadeth‘s Dave Mustaine has said some interesting stuff lately, such as supporting Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum only to rebuke that support, opposing gay marriage, telling women in Africa to “put a plug in it” regarding birth control, but now he has said something even more interesting. In a recent radio interview with Minneapolis radio station 93X, Mustaine spoke about the proposed supergroup with Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and Metallica‘s James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich that he spoke about last year.
