The Golden Gods is quickly becoming the coolest show around, considering it's the only awards show that actually honors metal music (screw the Grammys). This past week, so many bands came together to celebrate this music we love, and to honor metal and the memory of the mighty Jeff Hanneman from Slayer. So many musicians performed, and were fantastic, including the guys in Stone Sour, who delivered this crushing performance of Sabbath's "Children of the Grave".
Black Sabbath's new album, 13, is not far away! They've been playing shows and performing some new songs from it, and thanks to the internets, we have the chance to hear the songs before the album even comes out!
Get your Sabbath fix with some live new stuff! Blow up some computer speakers!
This is an exciting time for Sabbath fans, with the first song from the new album "13" coming out last Thursday...all NINE minutes of it...and the new album not too far away. We also have a good clip from yesterday's show in Auckland of another song from the new album, called "End of the Beginning". It sounds oddly familiar, doesn't it? Still cool, though, and Tony can still play his ass off!
According to an expert gardener from England, plants love Black Sabbath just as much as metalheads do! Garden guru Chris Beardshaw recently began an experimental program to analyze the reaction of plants when exposed to music, and according to the gardener's studies, the tasty jams of Black Sabbath "worked wonders on a greenhouse full of plants."
The highly anticipated live return of Black Sabbath this year has finally happened, and unlike last year's handful of shows, there's new material being worked into performances. The group is currently on a tour "down under," hitting venues in New Zealand and Australia and they kicked things off with a blistering performance Saturday (April 20) at Auckland's Vector Arena.
Black Sabbath has released a brand new song titled ‘God is Dead?"
In a surprising Facebook message posted tonight (April 15), heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne has admitted to "drinking and taking drugs" over the past 18 months. The revelation comes after rumors earlier today that he has split with his wife Sharon.
The new Sabath cd "13" will be out soon!
Black Sabbath's upcoming album, '13,' is perhaps the most anticipated metal disc since Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith returned to Iron Maiden in 1999, entering the studio to create 'Brave New World.' Expectations for the new Sabbath release are understandably massive, and, in a new interview, singer Ozzy Osbourne calls the album "mind-blowing" and "better than my wildest dreams."
Two masters of the guitar are apparently making plans to create a "riffs" album. Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi and Queen's Brian May are expected to begin this riffs record soon, which will allow fans to build their own songs using the recordings.
It's official! Black Sabbath have completed recording their upcoming album, '13.' Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler announced the exciting news to Eddie Trunk in a video interview (seen below) at the NAMM convention, in addition to offering an update on guitarist Tony Iommi's current battle with cancer.
