If you're planning to go to the UTEP Sun Bowl, you might want to read this!

I got an email today from UTEP regarding construction that will affect traffic before, during and after the 79th annual UTEP Sun Bowl.  The game between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the USC Trojans starts at noon on Monday, Dec. 31.

According to UTEPs public information officer, Veronique Masterson:

Parking will be available at the University’s Sun Bowl, Glory Road and Schuster parking garages and perimeter parking lots.  A free shuttle will pick up fans who park at the southern perimeter lots at Lawton Street and Schuster Avenue. There are 2,758 parking spaces available in the garages.

Vehicular access to the inner campus is limited because of ongoing work at the east and west entrances to the inner campus on University Avenue. People who want to park in the inner campus can enter from the south at Hawthorne Street off of Schuster Avenue.

The work on the two electronic control gates at either end of University Avenue is among the planned enhancements that are part of UTEP’s transformation plan that will create a more pedestrian-friendly campus.
