On Dec. 26, the Hyundai Sun Bowl will host the Washington State Cougars, 8-4, and the Miami Hurricanes, also 8-4. Here are some reasons this is going to be a very good Sun Bowl.

1.) Excitement

The identical 8-4 records speak for themselves. Look for a well-matched game between the high-flying Washington State passing game and the 'Canes, who have gone 4-1 since their coach was fired and replaced with interim coach Larry Scott.

2.) Mike Leach

The former Texas Tech coach and not Washington State coach is easily the most interesting guy to coach in D-1 college football. His interests, according to his Wikipedia page, include pirates, chimpanzees, whales and artist Jackson Pollack. He was fired from Texas Tech amid allegations that he made a player that he considered lazy sit in an equipment room during practice. Tech told Leach to apologize to the player or be fired. Leach wouldn't apologize, claiming the player was a malingerer who felt entitled because his father was former NFL star and ESPN analyst Craig James.

When the Red Raiders came to play UTEP in 2006, Leach said he told his players that this trip would be all business with no partying across the border. "No donkey shows...no switchblades. "Whaaaaaat?

3.) Mike Price Connection

Coach Price coached the Cougars before he became head coach at UTEP. He's now on the Sun Bowl board and was a big part of the decision to go with Wash. State.  Maybe having his old team in town will rekindle his hard-partying ways and he'll convince Mike Leach to go with him to Juarez to prove that they don't have donkey shows anymore.

4.) It's the Day After Christmas!

You'll get to see everybody's new sweaters and smart watches. People will probably be flying their new drones in the parking lot and everyone will be riding their Swag-way Scooters instead of walking. Also, everyone will probably be drunk.
