A Chicago strip club has won a neighborhood award for their efforts to keep their neighborhood clean. Chicago strip club, The Admiral Theater, has won the Albany Park Neighbor's January "Block Star Business" award, which is awarded to businesses that keep their neighborhood clean and beautiful. Shylo Bisnett, a member of Albany Park Neighbors, had this to say about the strip joint winning the award:

It’s difficult to dispute the Admiral doesn’t deserve the award. They recently upgraded their façade and even during construction it was still tidy, it was still passable.

Community members nominate businesses they believe deserve the award, then vote on the best businesses that keep the community clean and beautiful. Other businesses that have won said they have no problem with the strip club winning the award, because they clean the entire block, the building itself is very attractive, and you can't even tell it's a strip club.

The club's creative director, Nick Cecola, actually thought it was a joke when he received the email. Now that the club knows that it is a legitimate award, they will be framing it and hanging the award in the lobby of the club.
