If you are a fan of Black Sabbath or Sleep, this is a band you should check out. The Sword is a group from Austin whose sounds has been described as either "doom metal" or "stoner rock." The band is often compared to the sounds of rock legends Black Sabbath. The group was recorded four albums, with their newest Apocryphon, debuting on the Billboard charts impressively in the Top 20. The album was a follow-up to their concept album Warp Rider which had a science fiction narrative. It told the story of an archer Ereth, who was banished from his tribe on the wasteland planet Acheron. The inner Greek Mythology geek in me got excited just reading about the storyline.
