A settlement in a class-action lawsuit against the Starkist tuna company for intentionally under-filling cans of tuna fish between Feb. 19, 2009 and Oct. 31, 2013 means anyone who purchased cans of tuna from the company during that time may be entitled to either $25 or $50 in tuna from the company.

The settlement comes after a man filed suit claiming the company was intentionally underfilling its cans by a few tenths of an ounce during the time.

Customers who purchased any of the company's chunk light tuna in water, chunk light tuna in oil, solid white tuna in water or solid white tuna in oil can request either $25 or $50 in vouchers for tuna by filing a claim at TunaLawsuit.com by Nov. 20. You don't need to provide a receipt to make a claim, although those filing a claim are warned they could face perjury charges if found to be lying.
