Matt Sorum says Velvet Revolver recorded enough music with Corey Taylor to release an album tomorrow if they chose.  The drummer tells the website "Lokaos Rock Show" that the rockers recorded ten tracks with the Slipknot singer as part of his audition process.  Matt calls Taylor a great guy and an "absolute sweetheart."  He adds that it was his idea to let Corey try to fill former frontman Scott Weiland's shoes.  In the end, Sorum confirms that it was Slash who said no to bringing Taylor on board.  Matt adds that "Slash wasn't feeling it."  Slash himself has said that he thinks Taylor's great, but he didn't think he was a fit with Velvet Revolver.

Sorum, meanwhile, is busy with Diamond Baby.  That band recently released a video for its single "The Last Rockstar."  The clip features cameos from "Glee" actress Jane Lynch, Lemmy Kilmister, actress Juliette Lewis, and Verne Troyer.
