SNL Makes Game of Thrones Parody “South Centros”

Saturday Night Live has been making some hilarious spoofs recently and this Game of Thrones parody is one of the best!

HBO's hit series Game of Thrones premiered their new season last night, but before the new episode came out, Saturday Night Live premiered the "trailer" for a special episode of Game of Thrones. "Guest directed" by John Singelton who brought you "Boyz in the Hood," they visited the 8th kingdom of Westeros: South Centros.

Like the mean streets of South Central LA, South Centros highlights how hard it is in the mean streets of South Centros, where people breed dire wolves, that look a lot like pit bulls, and you have to watch out for the arrows. The Red Wedding is alive and well in this parody, with Taraji P. Henson talking about how her husband was killed there. As usual, Kenan Thompson steals the show with his performance as Ice Cube in South Centros, and even Jaime Lannister himself makes an appearance. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister in the HBO series, makes a small cameo in the trailer, and says the most memorable line "Don't hate the slayer, hate the game."
