If you were on the wrong coast for the last Metal Masters clinic in New York City this past fall, you’re now in luck! Metal Masters 3 is set to go down in Los Angeles, Calif., on April 12 at the Key Club and is boasting a bevy of metal’s most respected musicians.

The start-studded affair will feature Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson and Dave Lombardo, Kerry King from Slayer, Frank Bello and Charlie Benante from Anthrax and Adrenaline Mob drummer Mike Portnoy. With equal parts clinic and party, each monster musician will perform separately as well as partake in some epic metal jams, all while sharing insight on their careers and tips on techniques with those in attendance.

Mark Menghi, Director of Marketing at Samson, one of the companies making it all happen, is promising an epic event. “We’re extremely excited to be bringing the Metal Masters series back to the West Coast where it originated,” said Menghi. “And with the artists we have participating and the surprises we have planned, Metal Masters 3 is going to be the best one yet.”

The best one yet or just raising the bar for Metal Masters 4? In case anyone forgot what New York’s Metal Masters 2 brought to the table, Phil Anselmo and Scott Ian stopped by to join an all-star jam that included renditions of Pantera’s ‘A New Level’ and ‘F—ing Hostile.’ Those are some big shoes to fill!

Tickets for the special event are a mere 20 bucks, but it’s first come, first serve, so hit up the Key Club box office to reserve your spot. Doors are at 7PM PST.
