As the death of former Stone Temple Pilots lead singer Scott Weiland sinks in, many people, including celebrities, are starting to weigh in on the news of his passing. Scott Weiland played in El Paso many times and most recently just three weeks ago at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center.

Many stars including Slash, Dave Navarro and Joe Perry have taken to social media to remember the ex-STP and Velvet Revolver frontman. A post on the official Twitter account of the Grammys paid respects to Scott Weiland.

Scott Weiland was found dead on his tour bus last night in Minnesota. He'd had a long and very public history of substance abuse issues, although the cause of his death has not yet been confirmed. He was 48 years old.
