Bret Michaels Planning Star-Packed Solo CD:

Bret Michaels says he's excited about his next solo album.  The singer tells Billboard.com he's planning to include a number of guests on the project, titled "Get Your Rock On."  He explains that he already has things lined up for Def Leppard's Joe Elliott and Phil Collen to contribute to the disc, and he's hoping to collaborate with Stevie Nicks and some of the guys from Lynyrd Skynyd as well.  But Bret admits it's not all that easy working out the details.  He says scheduling can be difficult, and there's "a lot of taking care of some of the business before you can enjoy the pleasure of just jamming together."  However, Michaels still anticipates that he and his guests will "have a blast making this record."  While he doesn't say just when "Get Your Rock On" will be in stores, he notes he's hoping to release the CD's lead-off single before this year is over.

Corey Taylor Says It's Too Soon For A Slipknot Album:
Corey Taylor says it's still too soon to start thinking about a new Slipknot album.  The frontman tells "Kerrang!" he's not ready to get back into the studio and record what would be the first material since the death of bassist Paul Gray.  Instead, Taylor says it's much more important to spend some time on the road and "reconnect as a band first."  The Iowa rockers recently wrapped a three-week tour in Europe, and Taylor has confirmed plans for a U.S. trek later this year.  The band's next gig will be a performance at Brazil's Rock in Rio on September 25th.  In the meantime, Taylor says he wants to make sure people have enough time to "pay their respects" to the missing piece of their group.
