Road Closures For West El Paso This Week

El Paso is having road construction all over the city. Find out where, when and what hours Westside streets will have construction this week.

The City of El Paso is working hard to make the streets better and easier for people to travel on in the future. Unfortunately, this means for the next few months and maybe years we will be dealing with more traffic than normal on various sides of town.

Please follow the detour signs in place on all projects. All work is dependent upon weather conditions.

Here are the road closures and lane restrictions for this week, November 14th through November 20th:

Border West Expressway Project - Nov. 13 - Nov. 21

Paisano Drive
Sunday, Nov. 13, to Friday, Nov. 18
7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (nightly closure)

Eastbound right lane from Park Street to Coles Street

Closure is needed to relocate gas lines.

Monday, Nov. 14, to Friday, Nov. 18
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (daytime closure)

Westbound right lane from Spur 1966 to Ruhlen Court

Closure is to move equipment.

Thursday, Nov. 17, to Sunday, Nov. 20
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (full closure)

Westbound and eastbound from San Marcial to Park Street

Closure is to bore and locate utilities.

Friday, Nov. 18, to Monday, Nov. 21
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (full closure)

Bridge Preventative Repair Project
Sunday, Nov. 13, through (into) Friday, Nov. 18
8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

Complete closure on I-10 westbound at the Raynolds overpass

Detour: Westbound traffic will exit at the Raynolds exit ramp and re-enter at the Raynolds entrance ramp.

Crews will be installing armor joints.

Monday, Nov. 14, through (into) Friday, Nov. 18
7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Alternate lane closure on Cotton Street north and southbound between Missouri Avenue and Texas Street

Crews will be patching the I-10 bridge caps and columns.

Guardrail Repair Project
Monday, Nov. 14, through Friday, Nov. 18
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (throughout the day)

Alternate lane closure on I-10 east and westbound between Anthony Avenue and Sunland Park Drive
Alternate lane closure on Transmountain (Loop 375) east and westbound between US 54 and I-10
Right lane closure on I-10 eastbound between Porfirio Diaz Street and Franklin Avenue
Eastbound Porfirio Diaz exit ramp will be closed.
Right lane closure on I-10 eastbound between Raynolds Street and Trowbridge Avenue
Right lane closure on US 54 northbound between Sun Valley Drive and Kenworthy Drive
Eastbound right lane closure at the Franklin Avenue exit ramp
Ramp E (Gateway South to US 54 southbound) will be closed.
Westbound Sergeant Major Boulevard entrance ramp will be completely closed.

Crews will be repairing damaged guardrail in the area.

Maintenance

Right lane closure on Montana Avenue eastbound between Airway Boulevard and Avalon Street
Right lane closure on Spur 601 east and westbound between Sergeant Major Boulevard and Purple Heart (Loop 375)

Aesthetics Project - Phase III
Monday, Nov. 14, through Friday, Nov. 18
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Alternate left and right lane closures on Gateway East between Copia Street and Raynolds Street
Alternate left and right lane closures on Gateway West between Chelsea Street and Raynolds Street

Crews will be working on the aesthetic towers.

Dyer (BU 54) Mill/Inlay Project
Monday, Nov. 14, through Friday, Nov. 18
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (throughout the day)

Alternate shoulder closures on Dyer between Tiger Eye (mile marker 32) to Ashley Street (mile marker 34.5)

Note: Expect alternate complete lane closures in both directions; traffic will be allowed to flow through with flaggers in place. Reduce speed and watch for flaggers directing traffic. Expect delays.

Rehabilitation/Operational Improvements Project

Monday, Nov. 14, through Friday, Nov. 18
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Alternate lane closures on South Desert Boulevard between the Vinton overpass and Transmountain (Loop 375)
Alternate lane closure on I-10 east and westbound between David Road and Vinton overpass

Crews are working on share path.

Note: During this time there will only be business access at South Desert Boulevard between Westway Boulevard and David Road.

Reminder: North Desert Boulevard remains closed until further notice between the Transmountain entrance ramp and the Vinton exit ramp.
