Road Closures For West El Paso This Week

El Paso is having road construction all over the city. Find out where, when and what hours Westside streets will have construction this week.

The City of El Paso is working hard to make the streets better and easier for people to travel on in the future. Unfortunately, this means for the next few months and maybe years we will be dealing with more traffic than normal on various sides of town.

Please follow the detour signs in place on all projects. All work is dependent upon weather conditions.

Here are the road closures and lane restrictions for this week, October 24th through October 30th:

Go 10 Project

Mesa                                                                                        
Daytime
Monday, Oct. 24, through Friday, Oct. 28
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day

• A right lane on North Mesa Street (SH 20) will be closed from North Desert Boulevard to 50 feet past Osborne Drive (in the direction traveling toward Doniphan Drive).

This closure has been ongoing for two weeks. Crews are building a new bridge structure.

Border West Expressway Project

Paisano

Sunday, Oct. 23, to Friday, Oct. 28
7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• nightly eastbound alternating lane closures: Park Street to Coles

Crews will be relocating utility lines.

Monday, Oct. 24, and Wednesday, Oct. 26
7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• nightly westbound alternating closures: Nino Aquilera to Coles

Crews will be relocating utility lines.

Loop 375
Monday, Oct. 24, to Tuesday, Oct. 25
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• daily alternating westbound lane closure between Park Street and Mesa Street

Crews will be pot holing.

Sunday, Oct. 30 (originally scheduled for Friday night)

Crews will be performing utility work.

Executive Center

Bridge Preventative Repair Project

Sunday, Oct. 23

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

• Complete closure on I-10 westbound between the Copia overpass and Raynor overpass
• Westbound Copia entrance ramp will be closed.

Detour: Westbound traffic will exit at the Copia exit ramp and re-enter at the Raynor entrance ramp.

Monday, Oct. 24, through (into) Wednesday, Oct. 26

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

• I-10 eastbound over spillway (0.4 mile westbound of Raynolds Street) will be closed.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

• Ramp D (US 54 southbound to I-10 eastbound) will be closed.
• Ramp J (I-110/Juarez to I-10 eastbound) will be closed.

Thursday, Oct. 27

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

• Ramp D (US 54 southbound to I-10 eastbound) will be closed.
• Ramp J (I-110/Juarez to I-10 eastbound) will be closed.
• Northbound Sun Valley exit ramp will be closed.

Guardrail Repair Project

• Alternate lane closure on I-10 east and westbound between Anthony Avenue and Sunland Park Drive
• Alternate lane closure on Transmountain (Loop 375) east and westbound between US 54 and I-10
• Left lane closure on Wyoming Avenue eastbound between Kansas Street and Campbell Street
• Right lane closure on I-10 westbound between Raynor Street and Cotton Street
• Eastbound and westbound Raynolds entrance and exit ramps will be closed.
• Right lane closure on I-10 eastbound between Cotton Street and Piedras Street
• Right lane closure on US 54 northbound between Hayes Avenue and Fred Wilson Avenue

• Right lane closure on Montana Avenue eastbound between Airway Boulevard and Hawkins Avenue

Crews will be repairing damaged guardrail in the area.

Maintenance

• Right lane closure on Montana Avenue eastbound between Airway Boulevard and Avalon Street
• Alternate lane closure on Gateway East and Gateway West between Geronimo Drive and McRae Boulevard

The following entrance and exit ramps will be closed eastbound and westbound:

Crews will be working on concrete riprap in the area and cleaning up all debris, trash and vegetation.

Aesthetics Project - Phase III

• Alternate left and right lane closures on Gateway East between Copia Street and Raynolds Street
• Alternate left and right lane closures on Gateway West between Chelsea Street and Raynolds Street
• Alternate left and right lane closures on Gateway North and South between I-10 and Montana overpass

Crews will be working on the aesthetic towers.

Paisano Landscaping Project

• Alternate east and westbound lane closures on Paisano (US 62) between Eucalyptus Street and Montana Avenue

Rehabilitation/Operational Improvements Project

• Left lane closures on I-10 between the David Road and Westway Boulevard overpass

Monday, Oct. 24, through Friday, Oct. 28

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Alternate lane closures on South Desert Boulevard between the Vinton overpass and Transmountain (Loop 375)
• Alternate lane closure on I-10 east and westbound between David Road and Vinton overpass

Crews will be removing concrete traffic barriers.

Note: During this time there will only be business access at South Desert Boulevard between Westway Boulevard and David Road.

Reminder: North Desert Boulevard remains closed until further notice between the Transmountain entrance ramp and the Vinton exit ramp.

Tom Mays Park Entrance Project

• Alternate eastbound lane closures on Transmountain (Loop 375) between Paseo Del Norte and the Main Gap (mile marker 17)
• Bike lanes are closed for duration of project.
