El Paso is having road construction all over the city. Find out where, when and what hours Eastside streets will have construction this week.

The City of El Paso is working hard to make the streets better and easier for people to travel on in the future. Unfortunately, this means for the next few months and maybe years we will be dealing with more traffic than normal on various sides of town.

Here are the road closures and lane restrictions for this week, October 3rd through October 9th:

Bridge Preventative Repair Project
Sunday, Oct. 2, through Friday, Oct. 7
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

  • Ramp A (I-10 west to US 54 north) will be closed.
  • Ramp F (I-10 west to I-110/Juarez) will be closed.

Crews will be cleaning and sealing bridge joints.

Maintenance Striping
Sunday, Oct. 2, through Friday, Oct. 7
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

  • Alternate lane closure on Doniphan Drive (SH 20) east and westbound between Mesa Street and New Mexico state line

Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (throughout the day)

  • Alternate lane closure on Doniphan Drive (SH 20) east and westbound between Mesa Street and New Mexico state line

Crews will be working on removing and installing skip striping.

Guardrail Repair Project
Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (throughout the day)

  • Alternate lane closure on I-10 east and westbound between Anthony Avenue and Sunland Park Drive
  • Alternate lane closure on Transmountain (Loop 375) east and westbound between US 54 and I-10
  • Left lane closure on Gateway Boulevard West between Hawkins Boulevard and Airway Boulevard
  • Westbound Hawkins entrance ramp will be closed to I-10.

Crews will be repairing damaged guardrail in the area.

Maintenance
Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (throughout the day)

  • Right lane closure on Montana Avenue eastbound between Airway Boulevard and Avalon Street
  • Left lane closure on Woodrow Bean-Transmountain Drive (Loop 375) east and westbound between Plexxar Drive and Northwestern Drive
  • Alternate lane closure on Gateway East and Gateway West between Eucalyptus Street and McRae Boulevard
  • Left lane closure on Gateway North between Montana Avenue and Altura Avenue
  • Northbound Altura exit ramp will be closed.

The following entrance and exit ramps will be closed eastbound and westbound:
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (throughout the day)

  • Piedras
  • Copia
  • Raynolds
  • Paisano
  • Trowbridge
  • Geronimo
  • Airway
  • Viscount/Hunter
  • McRae

Crews will be working on concrete riprap in the area and cleaning up all debris, trash and vegetation.

Aesthetics Project - Phase III
Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Alternate left and right lane closures on Gateway East between Copia Street and Raynolds Street

  • Alternate left and right lane closures on Gateway West between Chelsea Street and Raynolds Street
  • Alternate left and right lane closures on Gateway North and South between I-10 and Montana overpass

Crews will be working on the aesthetic towers.

Paisano Landscaping Project
Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Alternate east and westbound lane closures on Paisano (US 62) between Eucalyptus Street and Montana Avenue

Rehabilitation/Operational Improvements Project
Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    • Alternate lane closures on South Desert Boulevard between the Vinton overpass and Transmountain (Loop 375)
    • Left lane closure on I-10 east and westbound between David Road and Vinton overpass

Crews will be working on removal of brackets at new turnaround bridge.
Note: During this time there will only be business access at South Desert Boulevard between Westway Boulevard and David Road.
Reminder: North Desert Boulevard remains closed until further notice between the Transmountain entrance ramp and the Vinton exit ramp.

Tom Mays Park Entrance Project
Monday, Oct. 3, through Saturday, Oct. 8
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    • Alternate eastbound lane closures on Transmountain (Loop 375) between Paseo Del Norte and the Main Gap (mile marker 17)
    • Bike lanes are closed for duration of project.

Crews are working on the share path crossing for this project.
