Road Closures For East El Paso This Week

The City of El Paso is continuing to grow. To maintain this growth, construction is a necessary evil for people in the city. Find out where, when and what hours Eastside streets will have construction this week.

The City of El Paso is working hard to make the streets better and easier for people to travel on in the future. Unfortunately, this means for the next few months and maybe years we will be dealing with more traffic than normal on various sides of town.

Please follow the detour signs in place on all projects. All work is dependent upon weather conditions.

Here are the road closures and lane restrictions for this week, December 19th through December 25th:

Border West Expressway Project

Paisano Drive (US 85)
Monday, Dec. 19, to Thursday, Dec. 22
7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (nightly closure)

Eastbound right lane from Park Street to Coles Street

Closure is needed to relocate gas lines.

Friday, Jan. 6, to Monday, Jan. 9
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (continuous full closure)

Westbound and eastbound from San Francisco to Spur 1966

Closure is to relocate gas lines.

Friday, Jan. 13, to Monday, Jan. 16
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (continuous full closure)

Westbound and eastbound from San Francisco to Spur 1966

Closure is to put new traffic into a new configuration.

Delta Drive
Remains a full closure and re-opens Friday, Dec. 23, at 5 a.m.

Westbound and eastbound from San Marcial Street to Coles Street

This closure is to complete the work on Delta Drive.

Monday, Dec. 19, to Thursday, Dec. 22

Southbound from Paisano (US 85) to Delta Drive

Closure is needed to relocate gas lines.

One-way traffic from Vista Hills Street to Racetrack Street

This closure is to work on utilities.

Loop 375
Tuesday, Dec. 20, to Wednesday, Dec. 21
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (nightly closure)

Westbound from US 54 to Park Street

This closure is to install an overhead-sign bridge structure.

Joe Battle (Loop 375) Widening Project
Monday through Friday
7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (at different times throughout the day and at different locations)

Alternate north and southbound entrance and exit ramp closures along Joe Battle (Loop 375) between the Bob Hope overpass and the Montana overpass
Alternate north and southbound right and left lane closures along Joe Battle Boulevard between the Montana overpass and the Bob Hope overpass
Alternate north and southbound turnaround closures along Joe Battle Boulevard between the Bob Hope overpass and the Montana overpass

Monday through Friday
