Reverend Horton Heat And Classic Cars “Heat” Up Ascarate Lake

The Great American Rockabilly Riot happens Saturday at a new location, Ascarate Lake. For years, the event has taken place at the original Great American on Alabama but, happily, it has grown too big for the original location.

Gates open at 11am. According to the Rockabilly Riot website;

You’ll swing to outstanding rockabilly performers on our main stage, enjoy a 50’s-themed pin-up girl contest and pageant, and of course drool over our featured event - the incredible car show with great motorcycles, hot rods and custom cars from the El Paso area and beyond.

Bands include local acts The Rockabilly Strangers, Hillside Gamblers, The Speed Kings and Sorry About Your Sister among others. The concert is headlined by The Paladins and The Reverend Horton Heat. Tickets are available online and also at these ticket outlets. Kids 12 and under are FREE.
