It's hard to believe that 7 years ago today, El Pasoan and pro wrestling legend Eddie Guerrero passed away.  I still remember that day like it was yesterday.  I was running on the treadmill at my house, when all of a sudden my cell phone keep going off like crazy.  So I stopped running and answered the phone and when my friend told me that Eddie had died...I couldn't believe it.

Back then I was involved in pro wrestling so all I had to do was make one phone call to confirm what I've just heard, and sadly it was true.

I had the opportunity to talk and hang out with Eddie on several occasions and without a doubt he was one of the best persons that I've had the pleasure of meeting. Before I stared my pro wrestling talk show "Slammin It," I asked Eddie what he thought and he told me it was a great idea. 6 months later I had my show and Eddie came on several times.

Eddie accomplished what no one else from El Paso that was a pro wrestler had done before...He became the WWE Champion.  The skinny boy that started wrestling for his father on Monday nights at the El Paso County Coliseum grew up to be the best in the world. He wrestled in El Paso, then Mexico, Japan, ECW, WCW and finally the WWE.

People still remember Eddie and his legendary wrestling family as one of the best in the industry.  And it continues today as his wife Vickie is still with the WWE.

So on a day that we remember a legend that was taken from us too soon, here are some of my favorite moments of Eddie Guerrero.

Eddie Forms The LWO

Los Guerreros lie, cheat and steal

Eddie vs the Rock

This is my all time favorite moment of Eddie, the day he became the WWE Champion.

Rest in piece Eddie, "Latino Heat" will live forever
