Prisoners Escape in New Mexico

The New Mexico Corrections Department is looking for two prisoners who escaped from a van while being transported to Las Cruces, New Mexico. Multiple law enforcement agencies have joined the manhunt.

The first suspect is 32 year-old Joseph Cruz. Cruz is in prison on various charges including, murder in the first degree, attempted murder in the first degree and child abuse.

The second suspect is 29 year-old Lionel Clah. Clah was sent to prison on multiple charges including, armed robbery with a deadly weapon and assault with intent to commit a violent felony upon a peace officer.

The Las Cruces Sun News reports both men are wearing white jumpsuits and bound by shackles. Details on the escape have not been released. Both men are considered armed and dangerous. If you have information on their whereabouts you are asked to call 911.
