Prince William Engaged!

We found out this morning that Prince William is engaged to marry his longtime girlfriend, Kate Middleton.  They have been together for about 8 years, on and off.  I have hope for this marriage.  For one thing, it was not arranged.  I believe William believes in true love like his mama, Princess Diana.  But poor Diana was duped!  Wills and Kate have been together long enough that she knows what she's in for, and I believe Diana had a lot to do with that.  I believe William is a lot more down to earth than his father, Prince Charles.  And that has to do with Diana.  She was the salt of the earth.  She had causes she truly believed in, and I believe she passed that down to her sons.  Kate seems like a much stronger woman than Diana was at the start of her marriage, and that will serve her well.  I can't wait to watch this wedding.  It will be the beginning of what I think will be a fairy tale.  One that lasts forever this time.
