Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Teen Girl

An El Paso man is behind bars on charges of sexually assaulting and threatening a teenage girl.  Authorities say 25 year old Ian Christopher Bruffey is charged with sexual assault and child pornography for sex crimes against a 15 year old girl from September through February.  Police say Bruffey met the victim on social media and threatened to show naked pictures of her to her friends if she refused to comply with his sexual demands.  Investigators believe Bruffey may have had other victims.

Police Seek Suspect In Home Invasion Of Elderly Couple

An investigation is under way into the home invasion of an elderly couple in central El Paso.  Police say the male suspect followed the 90 year old man and his 88 year old wife into their home at 1600 Dede Lane following their walk yesterday morning.  He then allegedly assaulted the man and demanded money from the couple.  He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

White House: Govt Focused On Deporting Illegal Immigrant Criminals

White House spokesman Josh Earnest says the government continues to be focused on deporting illegal immigrant criminals.  He suggested that the efforts would be easier if congressional Republicans had not blocked comprehensive immigration reform.  Earnest would not discuss specifics of last week's murder of a young San Francisco woman.  An illegal immigrant has admitted pulling the trigger.  The man had been deported several times but returned to the U.S.

Driving Gets Slightly More Costly In Texas

It's slightly more expensive to fill up your car today in Texas.  The average price of regular went up a fraction of a cent overnight Monday and is knocking at the door of $3.57 a gallon.  It's almost back to where it was last Tuesday before dropping slightly in the days leading up to the holiday weekend.  But, Triple-A stats show the fuel was a lot more expensive a year ago when it was averaging $3.48 a gallon statewide.
