Police sure seem to be getting into a lot of trouble with their guns lately. Albuquerque police shot one of their fellow officers during a drug buy and some other APD officers have been charged with murder after shooting a homeless man. An Erlanger Kentucky police officer recently shot himself in the stomach. And now, this guy.

Another Kentucky police officer (What's up with Kentucky?) asked to see a handgun in a sporting goods store and accidentally shot his finger off. Apparently he forgot the golden gun rule of "always assume the weapon is loaded and check for yourself that it isn't."

He wants to sue the sporting goods store saying they put him and others in danger by handing him a loaded gun.  He also claims that, due to his injury, he cannot return to work. I think somebody smells lawsuit money.  What do you think?
