Police ID Man Found Dead In Garbage Dumpster

Police are releasing the identity of a man whose body was found inside a dumpster in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Police are identifying the man as 61 year old Vado resident Roy Vigil. Police say a garbage truck operator found Vigil's body inside the hopper of his truck after collecting the trash at Lowe's supermarket at 1404 Missouri Avenue late last week. Police believe Vigil may have been rummaging through the supermarket's dumpster when the garbage truck arrived to collect the trash. An investigation is ongoing.

Woman Killed In Crash On U.S. 54

One woman is dead following a rollover crash on U.S. 54 in Northeast El Paso. Police say 23 year old Betty Ann Gay was attempting to pass another car using the emergency lane and center median when the crash happened Saturday at Hondo Pass near Diana Street. Police say Gay lost control of her vehicle and crossed into northbound traffic, causing her car to roll several times. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe she may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Ex-Texas Gov Campaigning For President In Iowa

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry is in Iowa today for day three of a four-day campaigning stint in the state. He's one of three candidates making stops in the state. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal had five stops in the state over the weekend. Former New York Governor George Pataki spent Thursday night wooing voters in Iowa.
