Part of I-10 Will Be Shut Down This Weekend

A part of Interstate 10 will be closed on the west side of El Paso. The closure will start on Sunday, March 20 at 3:00 a.m. from Sunland Park to Executive Center Blvd. Txdot officials said the hope to reopen the interstate by 3:00 p.m.

During the closure El Paso Electric crews will work on structures related to the Go10 Txdot project and the Border Expressway extension project.

Detour Information:

Eastbound: All traffic must exit Sunland Park Drive then turn left onto Sunland Park and turn right onto Mesa. Commuters can take Mesa to Downtown or turn right on Executive to I-10 eastbound ramp

Westbound: All traffic must exit Executive Center and make a right at Executive Center. Commuters can take Mesa to I-10 or turn left on Sunland Park to I-10 westbound ramp

Officials with Txdot say travelling motorist should use Transmountain (LP 375) as an alternate route.
