Parents Upset After Socorro ISD Serves Students 'TacoDog'

Using the power of social media, Socorro Independent School District students were able to share their frustration over their recent school lunch. The 'TacoDog' was given to students, earlier in the week, and disgusted many people. Basically, they gave the students a weenie in a hard taco shell. #ThanksMichelleObama

Some students shared photos of the 'TacoDog' on social media using that #ThanksMichelleObama hashtag, to show how Socorro ISD has made adjustments to her school lunch nutritional program. Parents want to know just how this school lunch passed approval.

Socorro ISD has responded to the controversy by saying they will not serve that item again, according to SISD Spokesman Daniel Escobar, "We would like to thank our parents and students for sharing feedback regarding the meal."
