Actor Jamie Foxx rushed to help a man who crashed his vehicle in front of Foxx's home.

Jamie Foxx is known for his movie roles, singing abilities and comedic skills but who knew you could also throw "hero" into the mix?

Earlier this week, 32 year-old Brett Kyle went off the road after losing control of his pickup truck. The vehicle went into a ditch, rolled several times and then caught fire. Lucky for Kyle, the vehicle crashed right outside of Oscar winner Jamie Foxx's home.

Jamie Foxx was home and heard the crash from inside. He called 911 and then rushed outside to help. Another person driving by happened to be an off-duty EMT who used his large work scissors to break the window and cut Kyle's seatbelt. Foxx and the man then were able to get the driver out of the vehicle and away from the fire before the vehicle was completely engulfed.

The next day, Brett Kyle's father, Brad Kyle, went to the site of the accident to thank Jamie Foxx for saving his son. Brad Kyle was shown surveillance video by Jamie Foxx of the accident. Several people drove past the accident but didn't stop to help. After the two met, they met with reporters outside to talk about what happened.

"I don't look at it as heroic," Foxx humbly responded "I just look at it like, you know, you just had to do something. And it all just worked out."

Brett Kyle was speeding and is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol. He suffered broken bones and a punctured lung but will survive. You can read more about the crash at CBS 8.
