Old Man Arrested For Slashing Tires At Bingo
An 82-year-old Florida man is accused of slashing the tires on a woman's car because she was sitting in his seat at bingo. Fred Smith of Lake Wales is charged with criminal mischief for last Monday's incident.
Police say Smith used an ice pick to damage the tires on Ethel Britt's van during bingo at the Lake Ashton Retirement Community Clubhouse. Smith apologized for his behavior and will pay restitution.
The local Fox News station in Tampa spoke to the woman who sat in his seat. Ethel Britt was out celebrating her birthday. She said, "I didn't think anyone would be low enough to do that to my car because I didn't know I had any enemies in my life,” she said. “I thought everybody was my friend, but undoubtedly I have one enemy.”
I've always wanted to go down to the local Bingo hall but not anymore. Bingo sounds like a rough sport. Fred should just stay home and play Bingo online with people from all around the world. He will always have his own seat.
