A tragic incident happened outside of an Odessa strip club Monday night. 35-year-old Jeffery Braun remains in critical condition after being run over twice by 25-year-old Daniel Ruiz.

Security guards attempted to break up the fight but ended up shooting and killing Ruiz as he attempted to leave the scene. Just seven months ago another man was shot and killed in the parking lot.

As the violence continues residents and Ector County Sheriff Mark Donaldson are questioning the safety of the strip club in the area. Sheriff Donaldson says will allow the Jaguars Club to keep the doors open. Donaldson and his team are working on serving Jaguars with a nuisance abatement lawsuit, according to CBS7.

If the county can prove that the club is decreasing the quality of life the possibility of the club remaining in business is slim.
The lawsuit is asking Jaguars Club to close at 2 a.m. instead of 4 a.m. and they can remain open. The discussion will happen between the county and owner, where a final decision will be made.
