It was a helluva year for the NMSU Aggies and Cruces is ready to celebrate.

The New Mexico State University Aggies capped off a great season with a last-minute win over Utah State in this years Arizona Bowl.  Now, the city of Las Cruces wants to throw a party for the team and their fans!

According to the Las Cruces Sun - News:

The city of Las Cruces and New Mexico State University will host a celebration at noon Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Plaza de Las Cruces.  The announcement, made by Phil San Filippo, the city's economic development director, was posted on Mayor Ken Miyagishima's Facebook page early Thursday.  The festivities will include members of the team, coaching staff, marching band, and other NMSU dignitaries.

A parade was also considered but, scrapped due to construction and other logistical issues as well as an afternoon basketball game that same day. (1/20)
