In 1989's Back to the Future II, there was a scene where Marty McFly, played by Michael J. Fox, traveled into the future and wore a pair of Nike "Power Laces" high tops. Ironically, those same shoes that Marty wore in the year 2015 will now be made available to the public by Nike.

The Nike Mag features what the shoe giant terms "Adaptive Fit" technology, and the shoes were officially announced today in conjunction with the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Only 89 pairs of the Nike Mag will be made available to the public, using an online draw that will last for one week. For $10, you can purchase an opportunity to win the shoes, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. There is no limit to how many $10 tickets can be purchased by each individual. The more tickets you buy, the better your chances are of winning one of the 89 pairs of the Nike Mag.

"Though it initially shared only a few seconds of screen time with Michael, the idea behind the Nike Mag unlocked something much bigger at Nike," says Mark Parker, Chairman, President and CEO, NIKE, Inc. in the official press release. "It sent us down an uncharted path of innovation, but it also opened our eyes to our ability to fight some of the world’s biggest challenges. We feel privileged for the opportunity to raise even more awareness for the fight against Parkinson’s."

The first pair was given to Michael J. Fox last October. He talked about it on The Jimmy Kimmel Show.

A version of the shoe was built by Nike in 2011, and they raised $10 million in 10 days via eBay auction for the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
