All Cinemark Theaters are enacting a new policy with regard to bags, backpacks, purses, etc.

According to ElPasoProud.com:

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - Cinemark theaters will soon adopt a new bag policy to enhance safety.

Starting this Thursday, the theater will no longer permit bags or packages larger than 12" x 12" x 6", according to its website.

Medical bags and diaper bags will still be allowed.

According to Cinemark, theater staff members also have the right to inspect all bags and packages as customers enter the theater.

Before you start fussing about this being illegal, it isn't.  (Not according to Yahoo Answers anyway.) Similar policies have been in place for those entering the Coliseum, Don Haskins Center, city, state and county buildings for years. If you don't want to be checked, you can always leave your bag elsewhere or, not enter.
