Not only do these lovely ladies bless the screen in both English and Spanish (movie and TV roles) but they are just amazingly hot too!!

Even though I was born in Cd. Juarez and raised in Miami (where most of the population are Hispanics) and my first language is Spanish, I was not really a fan of Spanish movies or television shows. Sure, I would sit and watch some Spanish soap operas with my Mom to pass the time. But it wasn't until 2004 where I was introduced to this amazing movie that changed my thoughts on foreign films (we'll get to that in a minute).

For now, let's talk a little of these lovely leading ladies that not only have we seen them in Spanish roles, but also in some of our favorite English movies and television shows.

#5: KATE DEL CASTILLO

Kate Del Castillo was born in Mexico City, MX. One of her earlier roles was in the Spanish soap opera "Muchachitas". Based on four best friends and their lives. Most recent we saw her take on the role of Pilar Zuazo on the popular show "Weeds". (We all remember her, the woman we hated since day one and Shane Botwin killed her with a mallet. That was priceless! I think Dubba G and I celebrated on that one.)

#4: JULIE GONZALO

Julie Gonzalo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised in Miami (we're cool like that). Though she began her career as a print model, she has definitely done tons of great movies. She's that sweet cheerleader from Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. I got more interested in reading about her when I saw her in the Hispanic film "Ladron Que Roba A Ladron", which is actually pretty funny!

#3: SALMA HAYEK

I know, Salma Hayek is a definite on this list. Born in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, MX, we all remember the sexy Hayek on Desperado. My favorite? Her infamous role and table top snake dance from the movie, "From Dusk Till Dawn". C'mon, who agrees with me?!

#2: ANA DE LA REGUERA

I know some of you must be wondering who this lovely lady is. Ana De La Reguera born in Veracruz, MX, was involved in the Spanish soap opera "Azul" (Blue) in her earlier work. In 2006, she played the part of Sister Encarnacion in the movie, "Nacho Libre" starring Jack Black. Last year I was at Best Buy browsing movies and saw an HBO series which looked interesting starring Reguera (amazingly great show!), "Capadocia" about a jail in Mexico City. (Which if you ask Dubba G about the show, he says that its about super hot women that get arrested and have lesbian tendencies.)

#1: MARTHA HIGAREDA

Remember that 'life changing' movie I was talking about before? Well, Martha Higareda (born in Villahermosa, Tabasco) is one of the main characters. The movie "Amarte Duele" is pretty much a recent Romeo and Juliet type of movie and definitely worth watching. As for the soundtrack, definitely a must as well. This lovely lady has starred in tons of great movies including Niñas Mal (Charm School), Street Kings with Keanu Reeves, Smokin' Aces 2: Assassin's Ball and another one of my favorites '7 Dias', a movie about a young girl whose dream is to make U2 come to the city of Monterrey, but they have a week to plan it out.

So these are my Top 5 Hispanic Babes  ... what do you guys think? (Oh, in case you want to familiarize yourself with them more, check out some of their movies)

I leave you with this awesome performance by Salma Hayek on the movie "From Dusk Till Dawn".
