Motley Crue Meet The Beatles in New Mashup

A new mashup blending Motley Crue from their down-and-dirty ’80s era with the Beatles from their clean-cut early ’60s era is blowing up on YouTube, and it’s definitely worth checking out (watch above).
While on paper it may seem like an odd match, from the opening guitar strum of the Beatles’ ‘Hard Day’s Night’ leading into the revved open intro to Motley Crue’s ‘Girls Girls Girls,’ it just works. The song plays out with the Beatles’ vocals mostly laid out over the Motley instrumental, with the occasional Vince Neil belt of ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ thrown in for good measure.
Another thing that makes this mashup interesting is the accompanying video, which shows the juxtaposition of the two eras and two bands. The dapperly dressed Beatles nod their heads along to the beat, while the rambunctious Crue are as destructive and anti-dress code as can be. But what do they have in common? The “girls, girls, girls,” of course. Both performances drive the ladies into a frenzy.
Props to Wax Audio for creating this video! And if you’d like to check out more of their mashup productions, check out AC/DC vs. Bee Gees, Judas Priest vs. a-ha and Metallica vs. Stevie Wonder among others at their Soundcloud page.
