Miss Las Cruces Busted For DWI
Miss Las Cruces has been charged with aggravated DWI after she hit a light pole and caused a power outage Sunday night. Sarah J. Richardson, originally from Alamogordo, drover her PT Cruiser into a light pole which landed on a traffic light. One car was hit by falling wires, and the wires go tangled up under another car. The 22-year-old, the 2013 title holder of Miss Las Cruces, was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center on charges of aggravated DWI (blood alcohol content of .16 or greater) and failure to exercise due care. She posted bond after sitting in jail for about an hour. El Paso Electric says the crash caused about 1,700 customers to lose power from about 11 pm Sunday to 2 am Monday. Nice mugshot.
