Michael applauds your stupidity Miss Italy. And sadly, that isn't even the worst thing she's said.

Miss Italy 2015 is being ridiculed for a second time in less than a week after saying two cringeworthy statements to the media. Alice Sabatini was crowned Miss Italy on Sunday, and in less than a week, she has shown that she is not in possession of both beauty and brains.

During the Miss Italy pageant, she was asked what period she would want to live in. She shockingly revealed she would want to live in 1942, right in one of the darkest years of the second World War and the Mussolini dictatorship.

"Well . . . to see really what the Second World War was like, since the books talk about it for page after page. I . . I want to live it. In any case I am a woman so I wouldn’t have had to do military service, so I would have been at home with the fear of . ."

She ended her statement with an awkward laugh. Maybe she remembered that in 1942 Nazis began gassing tens of thousands of Jews in concentration camps. That was also the same year that Anne Frank began writing in her diary. The statement didn't ruin her chances at the crown though, considering she ended up winning the title.

Then later this week, she was awarded the Golden Tapir prize, a joking prize awarded to Italian celebrities although they don't appreciate it. When she was accepting her award, she was asked what Italian historical figure she admired the most. After a pause, she replied, "Michael Jordan, the greatest player in basketball history."
