A Minnesota girls basketball team was recently notified they weren't allowed to play anymore due to their "skill level."

A girls high school basketball team in Minnesota were told they wouldn't be able to play anymore in a basketball league because of their talent. The Rogers Area Youth Basketball Association's team was told by the North West Suburban Basketball League that they couldn't play anymore in a letter sent to the team.

The team says the letter came just mere days before the team was scheduled to play in a showcase tournament. The basketball team was on a three game winning streak.

 The letter stated:

The Northwest Suburban Basketball League has decided RAYBA does not fit into the league. The main reason they made this decision is because other teams do not want to play RAYBA due to the skill level.

The team's coach Jason Hanauska said he is mad at the league banning his team because of their skill level. He also suggested a reason why the team was kicked out:

Three teams were threatening to, I guess, either forfeit the games against us or flat out quit the league. So for some reason they kicked us out.

Players and their parents are also upset by the man with one player asking if they're supposed to play worse just to make the other teams happy. The Northwest Suburban League wouldn't respond to any requests for comment. Coach Hanauska is set to meet with League representatives this week.
